What this page covers
This page describes how we run Lace for Gentlemen, and how we handle the stories published in Underneath, our reader column. It covers orders, packaging, billing, replies, and the consent rules we follow before anything is published on the site. It is written so that you know what to expect from us before you order, and so that any writer who talks to us knows where they stand.
How we run the store
- Orders are made to order and shipped in plain, unbranded packaging. The payment descriptor is a neutral company name and does not name the product category.
- We do not use countdown timers, invented review counts, or invented stock claims.
- Prices are shown on each product page before checkout, and the checkout total is the final total.
- We reply to questions within one business day. You can reach us here: contact page.
Editorial standards for Underneath
- Every piece is written by the person it is about. We do not ghostwrite a man's story and present it as his.
- Nothing is published before the writer has read the final version and said yes.
- A writer can stay anonymous, use a handle, or pull a published piece at any time, for any reason.
- We edit for length and clarity only, never for meaning.
- We do not turn anyone's answer into advice, diagnosis, or a lesson about what their clothing means.
What this page is not
This page describes our standards. It is not legal advice, and it does not replace our policies. For returns and shipping, see the shipping and returns page, and for privacy, see our privacy policy. If two documents ever disagree, the policy page is the version we follow. If anything here is unclear, ask us before you order and we will explain it.
